Liverpool have completed the signing of defender Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais on a long-term contract, subject to international clearance.
The Reds agreed a deal to bring the Frenchman to the club earlier this year and the transfer is set to be ratified in the coming days.
Jacquet moves to Anfield after advancing through the youth ranks at Rennes to make 33 senior appearances.
Twenty-one of those came during the past 2025-26 campaign, which was cut short for the centre-back due to a shoulder injury sustained in February.
Jacquet – a France U21 international – also built up prior experience with 24 outings during a loan spell of around 12 months with Clermont Foot.
The 20-year-old will now get his Anfield journey under way and told Liverpoolfc.com: “I feel really good, the first impressions are good and I am very happy to start here.
“I am very happy. When I see the facilities, I can see myself there. I feel good here and I am very excited to get started.
“For me it’s a big dream, it’s a big club. A club like Liverpool, it’s a big dream for me.”
Jacquet’s Liverpool squad number will be confirmed in due course.
