Injury update: Conor Bradley and Jeremie Frimpong

Conor Bradley will miss Liverpool’s game against Sunderland but could return at Leeds United this weekend.

The full-back has been absent for the Reds’ last three matches due to a muscle injury but Arne Slot said on Tuesday morning that he has now returned to training.

Wednesday’s meeting with the Black Cats at Anfield comes too soon for Bradley, though he may be fit for the trip to Elland Road on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the head coach also stated that Jeremie Frimpong – who has not played since sustaining an issue in the win at Eintracht Frankfurt in October – is set to be back in training next week.

Slot told reporters at his pre-Sunderland press conference: “Conor got into a training session yesterday for the first time, team training.

“Not everything 100 per cent yet, we had to manage that a little bit, so don’t get your hopes up too soon, too fast. But the good thing is that he does certain parts with the group already.

“And we expect the same with Jeremie next week, so the two of them come back but unfortunately we play a lot of games… so Jeremie, if he is training with us next week, he will miss out on three more games, for example. But the two of them are coming back.

“I hope he [Bradley] will be available for Leeds.”
