Dominik Szoboszlai wins LFC's Player of the Month for fourth time in 2025-26

Dominik Szoboszlai has picked up Liverpool's Standard Chartered Men's Player of the Month award for the fourth time this season.

The Hungarian was the recipient of February's accolade after more excellent form meant he topped a recent poll of supporters on Liverpoolfc.com.

He claimed more than a third of the vote as Hugo Ekitike and Virgil van Dijk took second and third place respectively in the results.

"Thank you to them [the supporters] again," the No.8 said upon receiving the trophy at the AXA Training Centre.

"Four times is very nice but I just have to keep on going because the season is still long and we have a lot of things to achieve."

Szoboszlai operated as a midfielder and right-back during February, and began the month by opening the scoring against Manchester City at Anfield with another brilliant free-kick from distance.

He then added the finishing touch to a lovely team move in the Emirates FA Cup win over Brighton & Hove Albion before assisting Van Dijk versus West Ham United.

On whether the City stunner was his personal highlight of February, Szoboszlai said: "It's a special goal, unfortunately the end of the game didn't go as we planned.

"We lost and [I] got the red card, so it wasn't the best ending. But I'm happy to score a goal like that.

"But the Brighton one was more of a team goal and I think this is a team sport, so I prefer this one.

"I've played in different positions quite often but I think that's a positive side of me that I can play in a couple of positions on the pitch.

"To be honest, I just want to be on the pitch and help the team and take maybe more responsibility than the last two seasons.

"I'm really looking forward to the upcoming games and trying to get back on the track where we were [in] the last month."
