Virgil van Dijk made his 100th international appearance for the Netherlands on Sunday evening.
The Liverpool captain skippered his country in their UEFA Nations League game against Serbia in Eindhoven and became only the 11th male Dutch player to reach a century of caps.
Wesley Sneijder leads the country’sall-time appearance list with 134, while former Reds forward Dirk Kuyt is in eighth place on 104 caps.
Last November, Van Dijk set a new Netherlands record by becoming the player to captain Oranje on the most occasions.
The clash with Serbia was the 84th occasion he has led his nation.
