Virgil van Dijk named in FIFPRO Men's World 11 for fifth time

Virgil van Dijk has been named in the FIFPRO Men’s World 11 for the fifth time.

Liverpool’s captain was today announced as being voted into the 2025 team by his peers, after also being included in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2024.

More than 26,000 professional footballers from around the world were polled to determine the most outstanding 11 players between August 2024 and July 2025.

Van Dijk was again a colossal presence in the Reds’ back line last season, starting 37 of 38 games as Arne Slot’s side were crowned Premier League champions.

His teammates Alisson Becker and Mohamed Salah were also shortlisted for the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11.
