Ronald Araujo will wear the No.33 shirt for Liverpool.
The Uruguayan defender completed a season-long loan move from FC Barcelona today, subject to a successful work permit application and international clearance.
Araujo has selected 33 as his squad number.
Jordon Ibe was the last Red to use the jersey a decade ago, with Jonjo Shelvey, Sebastian Leto and Neil Mellor other previous incumbents in the Premier League era.
