Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah finished fourth in the 2025 men’s Ballon d’Or rankings, announced this evening.

The Egyptian international was the highest-ranked among the four Reds players on the 30-man shortlist for the prestigious award. Salah had an incredible 2024-25 season, contributing to Arne Slot’s team’s Premier League triumph with 29 goals and 18 assists, topping both charts. He earned the Player of the Season title, along with the FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Players’ Player of the Year awards.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele won the Ballon d’Or, decided by a vote of football journalists from FIFA’s top 100 ranked nations.
Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister, Virgil van Dijk, and Florian Wirtz ranked 22nd, 28th, and 29th respectively. Meanwhile, Alisson Becker was runner-up for the Yachine Trophy for goalkeepers, which was won by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
