After completing his move at the AXA Training Centre, the 25-year-old striker shared his excitement with Liverpoolfc.com: “I feel amazing. It’s been a long journey to get here, but I’m super-happy to be part of this team, this club, and everything it stands for. I’m proud and really looking forward to it. I’m just happy it’s done so I can get back to work and meet my teammates, the fans, and get back out there.”

The Swedish forward has established himself as one of the Premier League’s top attackers during his three seasons with Newcastle. Since arriving from Real Sociedad in 2022, he scored 62 goals in 109 matches for the St. James’ Park side, including 54 goals in 86 Premier League games. Last season, he netted 23 times, finishing second only to Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race.
Now a teammate of Salah, Isak is eager to win trophies at Anfield. He said, “I think I have a lot to give and improve. I’m a striker, but I always aim to contribute as much as possible to the team—goals and more. I want to win everything.”
Isak began his career at AIK in Sweden before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2017. After a successful loan at Willem II in the Netherlands, he joined Real Sociedad in 2019, where he became the top scorer in their 2019-20 Copa del Rey-winning campaign. To date, he has earned 52 caps for Sweden, scoring 16 goals.
