Cody Gakpo has won the Standard Chartered Men's Player of the Month award for the first time in his Liverpool career.

The No.18 claims January's prize after finishing first in a supporter poll on Liverpoolfc.com, with Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai taking second and third respectively.
Gakpo produced four goals and an assist during his seven appearances for Arne Slot's Reds in the opening month of 2025.
Collecting the trophy at the AXA Training Centre, the Dutchman said: "It's always amazing to get voted by the fans.
"It's a recognition by the fans for the hard work you put in for the team and I think it's always nice to get that. I think normally it's Mo [Salah], which makes sense! But I am very happy that I can win this one."
Gakpo, who arrived at the club two years ago from PSV Eindhoven, began January with a wonderful individual goal against Manchester United at Anfield.
He then scored a double versus Ipswich Town in a 4-1 victory, during which he set up Salah, before returning to former club PSV in the Champions League and netting a first-half penalty.
Gakpo continued: "It was a good month for us, for everybody I think. We had some tough games but at the end we performed very well in those difficult games and, yeah, I'm very happy.
"I think we had some pretty good performances also, like Brentford away, which is a difficult game for us, that we won in the 90-plus minute [when] Darwin [Nunez] scored twice. Those things are what makes a season and those are the very important games.
"Also, we didn't lose at [Nottingham] Forest with the substitutions and directly the goal. I think that those things are very important for us as a team, that we stick together.
"It doesn't matter if it's people coming in or starting, we do it all together and I think we showed that in this month again."
